BREAKING NEW DAWN NEWSLETTERS
Breaking New Dawn creates an annual calendar of key thematic areas that are published in monthly newsletters ahead of the bi-weekly readings. Over a twelve-monthly period, viewers, readers and (soon to be) listeners, will be equipped with practical and scriptural applications of God’s teachings in their lives as professionals in industry and civilians in society.
The monthly newsletters are broadcast on the Instagram platform and on the website every first day of the month.
AUGUST
THE PROVIDENCE OF GOD
It is in God's Holy Presence that we are filled beyond measure in all of our life needs. Love, joy and peace are but a few of the fruits of the Holy Spirit as taught by St Paul in his letter to the Galatians.
Truly, what else do we need?
THE TRUE PROVIDENCE OF GOD is where we are this month Breaking New Dawners - this being our theme for this month of August to help us appreciate God's powerful love through His providence in our lives.
I am reminded of St Paul's letter to the Phillippians in which he said...
“Not that I say this because of need, for I have learned, in whatever situation I find myself, to be self-sufficient. I know indeed how to live in humble circumstances; I know also how to live with abundance. In every circumstance and in all things I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need. I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me.” Philippians 4:11-13
What a WOW there from St Paul! Do we, Breaking New Dawners know how to live in both situations of being well fed and of going hungry? Are we able to faithfully find strength and see God's providence at all times?
Well join me this month as we study biblical scripture together in order to hear God's voice even more on this matter. Together this month, let us revisit some of the shared experiences as foretold throughout the Old and New Testament showcasing God's various methods of providence for us to learn from and be able to practically apply these lessons in all of our daily lives today.
Oh it's going to be quite a feast of biblical insights! I just can't wait! It's going to be EPIC!
JULY
BREAKING OF A NEW DAWN
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1
In the beginning there was you... “God created mankind in his image; in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27
In the beginning there was me... a little girl born Ntathakusa Portia Nkehli - full of love, peace, joy and an abundance of dreams. Dreams not of this world. Dreams created in spirit and formed as the fruits of my womb, designed to multiply and be delivered to God’s multitudes of people through all of my Godly ordered steps during my lifetime.
Welcome my dear brothers and sisters to this special month of July which we have themed a BREAKING OF A NEW DAWN.
This month we celebrate the second anniversary of the Breaking New Dawn initiative as it was established in July 2020. We also in this same month commemorate the birthday of our founder— me.
We will immerse ourselves in scripture learning how to launch ourselves into each of our new beginnings. Throughout the Old and New Testament, we have not only seen God’s own creations of all things, but we have also seen Him instruct and teach His children to perform their own creations.
It is therefore clear that our plan of salvation does necessitate a spirit of reconciliation. A spirit of starting anew. An ability for all of us to put the past behind us and be ready to BREAK A NEW DAWN!
Just powerful Amen! I absolutely cannot wait for our readings this month! It is without a doubt going to be an exciting season of BREAKING A NEW DAWN!
JUNE
OUR MEN: HEADS OF THE HOME CHURCH
Daddy, rise up and take your stand! Our family awaits your address—looking forward to hear about the bright future that has been spoken to you! We love you, we honor you and in you we trust that our time on earth will be protected, provided for and our destiny professed to the entire world.
Yes! This month we raise up the men in our lives! Our Fathers, Our Husbands and even our Brothers and Uncles. Men leading our homes as God's extended disciples serving Him as Heads of the Home Church!
It is in the book of Genesis where we hear God's expectations of Abraham .... “Indeed, I have singled him out that he may direct his children and his household in the future to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord may put into effect for Abraham the promises he made about him.” Genesis 18:19
Man! What a mighty job description!! An honorable assignment - one that we here at Breaking New Dawn are all too excited to help you—our men in society— make your way to achieving your Godly mandate!
This month we will study biblical scripture to try and understand the role of a man in society - with our particular focus being on the household. In the Old Testament, we see many constructs of families and households all with universal directives related to authority, leadership, protection, and faith. Similarly in the New Testament, we see much more modern constructs of families and households - but they too subscribe to God's commandments of how Christian homes should live.
I just can’t wait for our readings this month! It’s going to be EPIC!
MAY
THE POWER OF A WOMAN
Ladies it's our month! Let's gather here and fix our crowns because we are the Queens', the Lord's chosen handmaidens! Yes! God’s creation of the world as we know it today was deemed insufficient without us!
Moses narrates this beautiful part of the story of our creation in which God Himself declared that "….It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suited to him.” Genesis 2:18 Amen!
Ladies, join me this month as we remind ourselves (and the world) of the ordained power of who we are and why we matter as written in scripture.
Yes we do matter and are absolutely key to God’s promise of salvation, of redemption and even of prosperity. We are the flowers that bloomed throughout the Old and New Testament providing platforms for God to showcase His might, kingship, mercy, and abundant love through many of our trials and victories.
As we traverse our many roles as daughters, sisters, wives and mothers this month - may we carry with us the very clear mandate that God has given to us as women to be the enablers of humankind and hold co-dominion across all of His creation!
I just can’t wait for our readings this month! We simply don’t have enough live scripture reading broadcasts to indulge in the many beautiful ordination moments of the Godly Power of Women as written in scripture!

APRIL
TOTALLY REDEEMED
Indeed, I certainly feel TOTALLY REDEEMED!
God’s mercy continues to be abundant and far-reaching through His Omnipresence during this month of April. And no, it’s not because of the Lent season – it is coincidental (and perhaps further evidence of His Omnipotence) that I feel so cleansed during this current season on our Christian calendar of solemn reflection.
If you don’t yet feel TOTALLY REDEEMED - than I’ve got you covered! Let us hold hands this month of April and help you navigate your spiritual journey such that you too can see that you are also already (this I know for sure) TOTALLY REDEEMED!
Apt is St Peter’s petition to us as Christians to hold our position as God’s children with reverence. He reminds us in his first address to realise that “…. you were ransomed from your futile conduct, handed on by your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold but with the precious blood of Christ as of a spotless unblemished lamb.” 1 Peter 1:18-19
As we journey together in this month of April, we will therefore focus our gaze on God’s beautiful redemption upon our lives. We will journey together both in the Old and New Testament and reflect on how it was always God’s plan to provide only the best for us and how even given many twists and turns as evident in the recordings of scripture, God still committed to our redemption to infinity and beyond.
My hope is that this month, coupled with your church programme, you are reminded of Whose you are and why the challenges you face are nothing in the face of God!.
I am therefore absolutely looking forward to our bi-weekly readings on our YouTube channel this month.
MARCH
LET'S TRY IT AGAIN
We are on the third month of this year and I know many of us are still trying to figure out how to move forward in pursuit of our various missions. At this point some of us may even have failed multiple times already and are now at the verge of giving up. Well, here at Breaking New Dawn, we simply try again!
This is our theme for this month of March - to encourage you to
TRY IT AGAIN.
The Great Prophet Isaiah in one of his oracles proclaimed that “They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on eagles’ wings; They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.” (Isaiah 40 : 31)
Our invitation to you this month is to walk with you as you renew your strength to not give up on what you have been called to do.
Where better to find many of such heroic tales than from The Royal and Divided Kingdoms of the Old Testament. Many of the great rulers of those times all struggled with failure and self-disappointment. Thankfully, we also know that they mostly triumphed.
Similarly in the formation of the church in the New Testament we will see how the apostles also struggled with various tormenting moments in their pursuit of fulfilling their God given mandates. We also now know that their persecutions led to the rich faith that we practise and celebrate today.
This is why I simply cannot wait to meet you all at our bi-weekly readings this month – to learn from the many inspiring readings we will study together on how and why it matters to TRY IT AGAIN.
FEBRUARY
TOILING THE LAND
It is universally understood that there can be no results without hard work. In the Book of Proverbs, King Solomon provides a collection of practical ways through which to live our lives in ways affirming of our faith as Christians. Amongst many life milestones that King Solomon deals with is also the necessity of hard work.
In Proverbs 14:23 , he guides us that "... In all labor there is profit, but mere talk tends only to loss.
As we begin this second month of 2022, I would like us to begin the hard work of toiling our land. It is time for us to invest ourselves through time and effort to our goals. We will together walk back in time through scripture, to learn how people in times before and after Christ worked their lands towards profit (or not) and how God influenced those outcomes.
Whatever your dreams are today, whatever your plans are for this year, whatever fears you have and challenges you foresee for the road ahead, I promise you that we will unpack colourful answers from scripture to address all of your concerns this month and give you a few references you need to begin the hard work of toiling your land.
I can't wait to meet you all on our bi-weekly scripture reading broadcasts on our YouTube channel.
